Additional Details: The evening will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. with a special author visit from local New Providence author, Cindy Gelormini. Immediately following the author visit, fun library-media related sessions will be facilitated by Salt Brook teachers, New Providence School District staff, and New Providence High School students via Zoom. Various activities will be offered at 6:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.. Each session will be approximately 30 minutes long. The evening event will conclude at the end of the second session.
Since this year’s event will be taking place via Zoom, it will be required that all students and families login to the desired activity session with the student’s district issued Zoom Account. Other Zoom Accounts will not be admitted into the sessions. The student/family name should also be used in order to be admitted into the Zoom sessions. All session details and zoom links have been listed below. Please also be mindful that since the activities are being done at home, participating students and families will be responsible for gathering and preparing the required materials ahead of time.
Parents and families are expected to accompany their child to each session and engage with them in the activities. You are encouraged to remain in the session you select for most or all of the time. Hopping from session to session is discouraged as facilitators will not be able to admit you into the Zoom room once a session has started. Also, consider arriving to the desired session activity a few minutes early and you will be admitted from the waiting room to the session with ease once the session begins.
The sessions offered will highlight Media Center resources as well as book and/or media inspired activities. Together, teachers, staff, students, and families will have an opportunity to share in Salt Brook’s love of learning!
Without a doubt, it will be a night you won’t want to miss! Sincerely, Mrs. Demich
